This project had an extremely long floor plan which added the requirement for two additional standpipe risers to feed hose connections on opposite sides of a horizontal exit on all floors of the facility to meet the required hose distances. We also decided to locate the zone controls at a remote location in the center of the building to reduce the sizes of the long branch lines. This project also went through a challenging 3rd party review requiring extremely well detailed plans and calculations to obtain a permit.
