WSD High School

Description

Taylor, UT

This large high school in Utah was fed by an underground loop with three separate fire water services. With the three different water service locations, crossing building expansion joints was limited to two instances. A MetraFlex Fireloop was used to cross these expansion joints. Victaulic AH1 and AH2 flexdrops were utilized for connections to sprinklers in ceilings. BIM coordination was utilized during the design process to insure all the building systems would fit without confit. Many areas utilize cloud ceiling architecture so remote area reduction was not allowed where sprinkler protection was omitted above ceilings.
