This project consisted of two separate buildings on the same site. The main sort building has 2 wet sprinkler zones covering the entire building with 1-1/2″ fire hose valves throughout the warehouse space. The maintenance building has 1 wet sprinkler zone and 1 dry sprinkler zone covering the building. The sprinkler design density and remote area were calculated per the project specifications which were significantly more demanding than a traditional NFPA 13 design. We were also tasked with limiting the main sizes to a max of 4″ due to structural limitations.
